Kigass Aero have remained open for business throughout the coronavirus lockdown. Our staff have been magnificent in keeping the work flowing out of the door in support of our valued customers.
In the early days of the lockdown we were asked to quote for 7 different parts for various ventilator consortium. We put together quotes and production timelines in record quick time in order to ‘do our bit’ for the great British effort that went into the ventilators. Thankfully it appears that the increased number of ventilators were not required but Kigass Aero remains poised to do what it can to help in the future.
As with many businesses we have had to furlough some staff and we are grateful to them for doing their bit for the company by staying at home. Meanwhile the staff that have continued to come to work have embraced the new social distancing measures and hygiene requirements. It is a credit to all the workforce that Kigass Aero has not had a single case of coronavirus infection all through the 8 weeks of lockdown.
Finally, special mention must be made of our site maintenance team. Tony, who keeps the shop floor clean and tidy, and Margaret, who has worked here for 16 years (which is a virtual newcomer by Kigass Aero standards), and in the last 8 weeks has been cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces 3 times a day. She disinfects doors, door handles, banisters, light switches and more besides. And she makes the tea! We are sure that the health of our staff is in no small way due to their amazing efforts.
Thank you to all our workforce and our customers. Stay safe and buy British.
